Winter is well and truly here! Now I have no official confirmation, but there’s always that chance of a white Christmas (although I can’t remember the last time that ever happened myself). I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for a snow day on the big day and just in case that situation does occur, I’m going to make you a list of what to wear this winter.
A high quality jacket like this one from Fitzgerald is the perfect option to keep you warm this winter. With its fully padded lining and elasticated cuffs, it is perfect for keeping all the warmth in and all of the cold out! With features such as a fur lined hood, 5 pockets and draw string to adjust the hood suitable to you, it certainly fits a lot in for such a great price!
You’re going to need layers if you’re intending on heading out into the snow! Whether you wear this under a thick jacket for that extra layer of warmth or use it as a backup in case you get a bit too hot in your big coat, this is perfect for rain and snow as it is water repellent and lightweight. Features of this fleece include concealed pockets, wind resistant fabric and outer zip pockets, you also have the choice between vibrant blue, navy or black.
You want to stay warm but you’re also going to want to stay dry so keep the water out with a pair of waterproof trousers. The taped seams will keep the rain out and the leg fastening and elasticated waistband make this practical outdoor wear comfortable and easy to put on.
Let’s be honest, we’re all tempted to let the big kid out when it comes to snow and If you’re anything like me, I know that you’re the person who is going to want to start off a snowball fight too so keep your hands cosy with a good pair of gloves. Thinsulate knitted gloves are made using insulation and HeatGuard technology so they are a wise idea for the winter weather.
Don’t forget about those ears, choose from a selection of colours of our Thinsulate hats. Whether you go simple and match the gloves with a plain black hat or want to add a little colour to the blank canvas of snow with one of the stripe options available, it’s up to you to decide! All of our Thinsulate hats have a warm fleece lining that makes them stand out from the rest.
So to wrap it up, now that you’re all wrapped up, whether you want it to snow or not… Play it safe and stay prepared, I know that I don’t want to be going out for last minute winter wear when it’s got to the point of visible breath and bright red noses!
